Carmel-by-the-Sea is a beautiful quaint town on California’s central coast and is known for its fairytale-like architecture that would be fitting in any Bohemian town. The beautiful white-sand beaches and stunning seaside cliffs are ready for a campervan rental. It's a charming little town home to about 4,000 people and is full of art galleries, boutiques, hotels, stores, and restaurants. It is reminiscent of the bygone era of the 1920s due to its quirky fairytale feel and infinite beauty.
Carmel-by-the-Sea’s coastline has both sandy beaches and rocky, cypress-covered rock outcroppings which have inspired painters of many kinds. Residents can regularly be found at Carmel Beach enjoying the beauty of the sunset while watching surfers ride the waves. Carmel River State Beach, which is a mile south of the town, is a popular site for diving, kayaking, surfing, and campervan rentals. Point Lobos State Reserve has long been dubbed “the crown jewel of the State Park system."
