Nipmuck is the second oldest state forest in Connecticut and was first acquired in 1905.
The Nipmuck Trail is over 41 miles long and passes through the Nipmuck State Forest from Mansfield to the Massachusetts border.
Nipmuck State Forest and the adjoining Bigelow Hollow State Park are over 9,000 acres in size and offer many recreational opportunities.
